600GD Exhibition Poster
This was a university project to create a poster campaign that advertised a local exhibition exploring the key developments in the 600 year history of graphic design. My posters focused on the importance of the invention of lithography and its crucial role in the development of poster design as we know it. Without this new printing technique, many iconic posters of Britain would not exist as we know them, nor the exhibition poster itself, as their stylisation would have never have developed away from the Victorian typographic appearance.
FIFA 2014 World Cup Stamps

This was a university set brief to design a set of four stamps to celebrate the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
The stamps had to emphasise international friendship, a spirit of healthy competition and the inclusive initiatives of the modern game. For my set I decided to look at the emotion of the tournament and how this is expressed among all those involved, from the players to the supporters back home.
The stamp set also drew attention to the major poverty levels within the host nation, highlighting how football could act as a stepping stone for drawing nations together and impacting change.
A Hard Rain

In this university project we were given the title ‘A Hard Rain’ and were told to create a book. For my response I decided to create a book that raised awareness about deforestation within the Amazon rainforest and its impact on endangered species, whilst promoting a more sustainable approach.
Logo Designs

Various logos I have designed both for real and fictional companies.
Direct Mail Artefact

This was a university set brief where we had to create a direct mail piece of advertising that promoted and drove traffic towards the website
www.voyageofdiscovery.com. Aimed at students, the design encouraged the viewer to research more about the asteroid belt as they prepared to be the astronaut that can save the world from an asteroid collision.
The artefact also included an interactive flight simulator game and collectible card.

Penguin Book Cover
This was my design that I submitted for the Penguin Random House Design Adult Fiction Award 2015. The brief asked us to redesign
the cover to the book ‘Oranges Are Not The
Only Fruit’ by Jeanette Winterson.
The design had to have a contemporary feel
and embrace the multiple layers of meaning presented within the story, pitching the book
to its readership.
Sans.Serif
This university brief asked us to pick two fonts, one new, one old, and create a futuristic type specimen for them both.
My specimen explored further into the fundamentals of readability, particularly the two main debates amongst designers: do we read by word shapes or letter by letter; and are serifed or sans-serif fonts easier to read.
This was presented by breaking up the font elements onto layers of acetate, such that different elements could be combined, allowing the user to formulate their own judgement on
the debates and understand more about which elements of a font influence the way text is read.
Project: Malawi
This university project was set by an
animator in Malawi. The brief was to create
a short 20-25 second animation that could
be shown to people in Malawi, helping them
to improve their own healthcare.
My animation focused on portraying hand-washing as the 'sign of a good mother' as well as something enjoyable, helping to make it habitual. This in turn would help prevent the spread of disease, particularly reducing the number of childhood deaths as a result of poor hygiene.
Know your Levels
This was a campaign that I originated for the Isle of Wight NHS Clinical Commissioning Group on stroke prevention.
I designed and copywrited a poster, leaflet, press ad and patient record card, proposing
the theme ‘Know Your Levels’, the overall aim
of the campaign being to encourage patients
to be more aware of their safe levels and actively decrease their chance of stroke.
The campaign has so far been implemented
across the island, including 12,050 leaflets and 600 posters through multiple media channels.

V&A - It's Only Rock & Roll
In this university project we had to promote
an exhibition at the Victoria & Albert
Museum that celebrated the world of music
and its influences on design and fashion.
My designs focused on the universal appeal
of music and how anyone, from anywhere,
can enjoy any type of music. They aimed
to highlight how the exhibition embraced
a rich history from multiple genres, which
together form a more complete picture of
the influence of music.

BBC World Service Radio
In this university project we were tasked
with creating a campaign to save the BBC
World Service Radio from closure.
My proposal was aimed at the travelling UK
audience and presented the World Service
as a dependable source of comfort and link
home as they travel abroad, encouraging
more listeners and a greater value for the
service from people within this country.

D&AD New Blood Awards 2015
This was my submission for the WWF brief. The brief asked us to create an integrated campaign that made the findings of the recent Living Planet Report accessible and relevant to the younger generation of 16-24 year olds.
For my response, I developed a game and promotional flyers that aimed to speak to an ‘always on’ generation in a medium they engage most with, encouraging them to positively change habits, which although small, are achievable and en-mass can massively impact the sustainability of the planet. This then hopes to inspire the younger generation to be more planet conscious in future life.
